Fox News host Sean Hannity has claimed that there will be a “mass exodus” from the New York state if Democrat Zohran Mamdani is elected as the mayor of November.
Hannity, 63, who himself moved to the Sunshine state from New York in January, claimed during a appearance in his fiancé Ainsley Earhardt, Fox & Friends, during which he discussed the appreciation of the Democratic Party’s approval.
According to a new survey from Quinnipiac University, 72% of voters do not accept Democrats in Congress, while only 19% of the party an assessment of the position. However, the numbers were not much better for the Republicans of the Congress, who received a 62% disapproval of voters.
While sharing his views on the appreciation he noted that he is at a low time at all times he suggested that he could be linked to the choice of spokesman’s political party spokesperson, mocking Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and other members of a group known as “teams”, goal in Mamdan.
Mamdani, 33, who won the mayor’s democratic elementary in June, is now being seen mostly as one of his main voices of his political party – however, Hannity claimed that his police are likely to lead to many New York residents who leave the state, may want to take a trend in Florida.
“If they want to go with Mamdani as the Mayor of New York City, I invite you all to come and transmit your show like me, initially your show in Florida’s free state,” he said. “Because there will be a massive exodus from the state of New York, whose likes we have never seen.”
Addressing the impact on the New York City economy, the Fox News host continued to warn that many businesses have already made the decision to establish bases in Florida -and is likely to turn even more attention to the southern state in the event of a Mamdani victory in November.
“What many people don’t know -and it’s a very attractive phenomenon -it’s Wall Street South is already here,” he added. “All these companies, they do not only have officials in southern Florida, no, they have received half their companies down here now.
“The reason is due to heavy regulation, high taxes, they have followed them. And they will simply take and go away now.”
When asked about Mamdani Municipality candidates, Hannity called on Fox News viewers not to count Republican nominees Curtis Sliwa, claiming that there may still be a “lane” for elections, especially given the independent runner Andrew Cuom
“So Mamdani’s numbers have fallen. Came may have been a dunk at the beginning-I’m not so sure,” he said, before paying attention to the fact that there are three other leftist politicians in the race: Cuom benefits for Sliwa.
“Cuomo is definitely leader in terms of entering second place. But you have three left in the ticket except Mamdani and, sorry, Eric Adams is not particularly voting well, [although] I know there will be a lot of money thrown in his direction, “Hannity said.
“But if all three of them stay in the race and Mamdani stands in the race, I believe – it’s an outward shot – but she creates a lane for Curtis Sliwa, who has been a tall friend of mine. He really is Mr New York, he loves New York City.”
Hannity continued to describe Sliwa as a “Giuliani 2.0”, referring to Rudy Giuliani, the former Donald Trump’s disguised -mayor who served as mayor between 1994 and 2001.
The Conservative Pundit noted that Sliwa has a “very difficult” path in front of him, giving New York’s long affiliation with the Democratic Party, but insisted that if the left is divided among many candidates, the Republican candidate may still have a blow in a victory.
Earhardt and Hannity continued to discuss Mamdani’s “Socialist, Marxist” policies, with the latter describing them as “madness” and “nonsense”.
Although Hannity believes that Mamdani’s victory in the election would promote a “massive exodus” from New York, real estate experts have insisted it is too early to start making those kinds of predictions – especially when it comes to the richest inhabitants of the city.
Luxury real estate broker Donna Olshan told Realtor.com® earlier this month that while she received some “nervous calls” from her clients, she believes it is very impossible that long -term residents will simply get up and leave New York and move elsewhere.
“Way too early to see that this will affect the luxury market in Manhattan,” Olshan said earlier this month. “Have I received nervous calls? Yes, but at the end of the day, most people will not take root and move elsewhere because they do not like the mayor and fear the direction in which the city will enter.”
However, Mamdani’s policies are already affecting the New York City real estate market, with Olshan revealing that shortly after the elementary, a buyer presented a low offer in an apartment it represented – in an attack to provide a “deduction of Mamadani”.
“I thought this was ironic,” Olshan adds. “They were completely happy to live in New York City – even with Mamdani – if they could get a discount on an apartment.”
And while Manhattan residents may have previously had faces like Palm Beach as an alternative home base, figures show that these trends have changed.
On the contrary, city dwellers who want to leave the Big Apple are now seeing alternative residents in places much closer to the house, such as Suffolk and Nassau.
“It seems that more Manhattan residents are interesting in staying inside the New York City Metro, but outside the right city,” said the top economist of Realtor.com Joel Berner.
