Richard Gere, you are breaking my heart.
Lulu Simon, the daughter of legendary singer Paul Simon, exploded the actor “Beautiful Woman” after he sold her childhood home in Connecticut for real estate developers planning to destroy property to build new homes.
“Just in case someone was wondering if I still hate Richard Gere – I do!” Simon wrote in a story on Instagram posted on Tuesday.
The singer, 30, claimed that the winning star of Golden Globe pledged to “care” for the 31.8 -hectare wealth in New Cana as part of the conditions when he had been cleared in 2022.
“He bought my childhood at home,” Simon said. “Promised that he will take care of the earth as [a] The state of its purchase. Proceeded to never move and simply sold it to a developer as 9 special plots. “
Simon & Garfunkel’s Hitmaker’s daughter did not go into detail about the alleged deal.
Lulu, who has just over 2.5k monthly listeners in Spotify, continued her social media when she posted an edited photo showing her old childhood animals surrounding an image of Gere.
“I hope my dead animals buried in that backyard follow you until you go down to a slow, unstable madness,” described Simon post.
The post has reached GERE’s rap for comment.
Despite Lulu Simon’s lament for lost property, wealth has not proven to be a fruitful investment for its owners.
Both Grammy Paul Simon’s 16-year-old winner and Gere, 75, received a loss during their separate 8,800-square-foot residence sales.
The “Sound of Silence” singer and his wife, singer Edie Bricell, bought the house where he “recorded many of his hit albums” for $ 16.5 million in 2002, according to Town & Country.
In 2019, the couple tried to sell the Georgian -style wealth for $ 13.9 million. The required pricing fluctuates for three years while the “Chicago” star bought the property for $ 10.8 million in 2022, Post reported.
The main house has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three rooms and numerous fires.
The property also introduced a special guest house of 2,400 square, a pond, a swimming pool and a yard.
Gere had planned to turn part of the property into a farm, according to the realtor.
After owning the property for only two years, Gere and his wife, Alejandra, received a slight loss in property and sold the house in an off -market deal for real estate developers for $ 10.75 million in October 2024.
The Coupleifi sold the house so that they could move to Spain and be closer to Alejandra’s family, Gere shared during an interview with Vanity Fair Spain in April 2024.
“Alejandra was very generous to give me six years living in my world, so it’s just right that I give her at least six years of living in her,” he told Outlet.
