Reviews are glowing – but are they also human?
A new study from the authenticity content of the authenticity platform. It reveals an alleged surprising tendency in Zillow: nearly one in four revisions of real estate agents in 2025 was probably written by artificial intelligence.
This marks a 558% increase in reviews created by that since 2019.
After analyzing more than 10,000 agents’ reviews using his detection owner’s vehicle, Originality.
The findings suggest a growing discussion between customer expectations and the authenticity of the Internet review, especially as the generating one becomes easier to use and harder to detect with the free eye.
“Zillow is not alone. From Airbnb to Google to LinkedIn, the content generated by him is growing across the platforms,” Jon Gillham, CEO of Originality, told The Post. “What Zillow sets out is the direct impact on life -changing decisions like buying a home.”
“Mixing the ratings created by him and man -written creates a crisis of credibility,” Gillham said. “If users cannot show different, the entire review ecosystem risks becoming noise than instructions.”
Madeleine Lambert, director of marketing in authenticity. He said: “These estimates are intended to help buyers and sellers choose reliable real estate professionals. People who will guide them through one of the most important financial decisions of their lives.”
“If an agent’s online reputation is swollen with ratings that have never been written by real customers, it misleads users to think that the agent is more experienced, successful or in question than they actually,” Lambert added. “This ‘false impact’ can ultimately run consumers towards agents who may not provide the level of service they expect, putting them in financial and emotional risk.”
Zillow, who did not respond to requests for comment, the current does not label or reveal whether agents’ reviews are man -written or generated by him.
