Brooklyn Marble House of $ 25m Dentist and Bruks’s home now the most precious for sale in the district

Forget the “king of Queens”. Why not live like Brooklyn’s baron?

A former dentist gathered his passion for the architecture of old work in every corner and madness of this palatial house Bay Ridge. The aggressive gilded property listed for $ 25 million on Tuesday, announced the New York Times, which the notes of Streeteasy make it the most expensive home with a single family in the Brooklyn market.

“Since his ranking, my phone was really being blown up,” the post of the Alexander Borisin list told the post. “Many people have questions, and they are amazed at the photos.”

Boriskin, from Douglas Elliman, is marketing home with other agents Ammanda Espinal and Michael Lorber.

Dmitry Epelboym, a Ukraine -born dentist, bought tears Bay Ridge with his then Lidia wife for $ 1.3 million in 2010, according to City data. A centuries -old Victorian, owned by the Blondie keyboard Jimmy Destri, occupied the property. Not for a long time, anyway.

Epelbom tore the old house and spent the next eight years building the rich European palace of his dreams. He imported marble, limestone by hand from Italy and hired artisans to apply gold leaf by hand. The cost was taken into consideration.

Epelboym told Times that he “stopped counting after $ 10 million”.

Foer marble of the house 14,000 square meters, quite literally reflecting its owner’s style. Massive mirrors line up the walls along with large gilded works. The twin marble stairs are finished with gold leaf railing and a glossy starburst on the ceiling lights up the room.

“That’s unique. I don’t think anything has ever been to the market like this, certainly not in Bay Ridge,” Borisin said.

The surrounding neighborhood is not alien to large properties, Borisk said, but they tend to change their hands through families than in the market.

He believes the house will sell someone with an affinity for his current style than a vision of change. The cost of building a comparable property today, Borisk said would be much more expensive than its $ 25 million question.

The time and expense set in the rich residence is on screen in every room.

The fires of the dining room and the living room are decorated with precious stones like Lazuli Lazuli and green malachite, and the cuisine of the decorated chef is lying on a burgundy quartz. Flower -gilded reliefs and scoces held up from griffins decorate the office of graceful.

The ranking advertises six large bedrooms, but is the basement where the maximum relaxation is achieved.

The ambitious construction of Epelboym included excavations for an 11 -foot basement level. The underground space feels a personal bath with a sauna, a Turkish bathroom with marble line, a hot tub and a rustic bucket shower. It also includes a home theater and a large lounge. The latter boasts a chandelier saved from a historic Tenzi River boat, Times announced.

Epelboym, an admirer of European historical architecture, filled the house with material sources on travel abroad. He told The Times that he was particularly inspired by “Palazzos of Italy and iconic countries such as St. Peter’s Basilica”.

Epelboym’s successful dental practice of three decades ended in 2018 when he was guilty of insurance fraud. He told Times that he was entitled to return a few years later, but chose not to follow him. Epelboym, now divorced, spends his time abroad. According to Borisk, his trips keep him away from home 10 months outside the year.

“This house is now ready for its next chapter,” Epelboym said.
